The war today is definitely not in the best interest of either the tamils or even the sinhalese. Today Sri Lanka has the worst ever government and the most non-sensible LTTE leader. Who suffers at the end? Its the innocent civilians who are battered both from war and the poor economy. And do the leader care? No!

As long as there are politicos who are extremists in Sinhala or Tamil there will not be a settlement. Extreme ideas are biased. All great leaders in the world acted in the best interest of their nations and not in their selfish individual needs like our politicians.

The Government does not need to end this war because they get rich out of it and always use war as an excuse to hide behind their economic inabilities. VP does not need to end the war because it is his only way of recognition in his community. No man ever has the right to make another person be a suicide bomber. If VP says he is fighting for Tamils then he should target the extreme politicos who are against peace and the Tamils. But VP makes sure he kills everyone but those. Majority of Sri Lankans are frogs living in wells. Sri Lanka got the leaders that they derserve. Its time to look around and learn from all other countries who are developing at a fast rate. Instead SL has joined most African countries and going backward. Our leaders and politicians are ruining this country. If only the majority knows the amount of money they earn from various avenues. Neither the majority of Sinhala Politicians nor the VP can ever be trusted. This country needs a good leadership. And a political settlement for the ethnic conflict and it should be induced from the roots that there are no Tamils or Sinhalese but Sri Lankans.

As long as the sinhalese who has posted their ideas of MR Chinthana the LTTE will always will be alive and well supported. Talking about human rights, my dear sinhalese brother and sisters, if my innocent sister, brother, father, mother was killed by your own govt terrorising innocent civilians, what do you expect me to do? Just sit and watch you have destroyed my family, my home and now my land? On the cotrary the suicide bombers are volunteers who just wants revenge, wirte or wrong, that is how human beings react in defence. Think twice, open up your eyes for the atrocities the SL Govt’s in the past 30 yrs the carnage they have done to the tamils. Don’t just read chavunistic one sided sinhala news feeds and jump to conclusions. Look at the root cause of the whole issue, then you may see the light at the end of the tunnell. Withought knowing the root cause, it is waste of our time reading your one sided postings.

Does the SriLanka has oil or any other things for the so called international community to take advantage of?
Then why the international community is supporting them?

Time and again the speech writers of VP harp on statements and phrases like “Sinhalese can’t be trusted’ and “Sinhala chauvanism’. Every time LTTE is involved in negotiations with the governments it was the LTTE which broke the trust and went back to war having taken advantage of the ceasefire agreements to strengthen their military power. Have people forgotten the shameless way LTTE killed scores of Policemen who surrendered to them during a so called ceasefire agreement?

The biggest obstacle to peace in Sri Lanka is not ‘Sinhala chauvanism’ but “Tamil chauvanism’ by LTTE and their ignorant sympathisers. As long as LTTE is in the picture there won’t be peace in Sri Lanka

Pirapa has for the first time spoke of the support of the 80 million global Tamil community and the need for for a state for the Tamils. That is the most importanr statement.

If it wasn’t for LTTE, the plight of Tamils would be non existant to the rest of the world (including India). This was proved by the recent bombing that occured in Nugegoda, and the International Community’s response to Civilians deaths.

It is very surprising that VP is requesting the IC to intervene. Has he started to realise that is vital to bring IC on their side, or is it just another gimmick to con the Tamils?. In his last year’s speech, he declared all out war to reach their ultimate goal of TE, but his territory is shrinking even further to Vanni. Tamils should not believe any word that VP says. Tamils should read the comment #4, written by A.Rajasingam he has written the facts in very simple English. The time has come for the Tamils to take a different approach to this problem and put an end this terrible war and loss of hundreds of young boys & girls.
