Joseph,
Hiding behind a Christian name, if you believed, would give you credibility when throwing mud at the LTTE on this issue of the Holy Church, you are totally mistaken.

Im not going to read any more of LTTE stuffs. It seems LTTE is getting in the way of devotees. This time I too heard that there was a heated argument between Ltte and the preists. That was the last straw foor me. Because i know how a battle field is like....with bombs thundering down and smoke evrywhere...LTTE do is argue in the middle. Even if they argued how the LTTE leader living far away know when none of the closer ones don't know about it? It seems far fetched...even preists couldn't communicate with Mannar bishop Rayaappu. So how reach LTTE leader? This is not the first time LTTE dished out Punnakku for the masses.

thank you.

Many 'fundamentalist' churches down south have been desecrated/demolished and their pastors & congregations assaulted by mobs including buddhist monks, but not a single prosecution was
lauched by the police.
The catholic & protestant churches did not raise a hue & cry about it - they too are followers of the christian religion.
Madhu is popular no doubt, but this situation is the culmination of the indifference shown towards the desecration/destruction of many other such
hindu and christian places of worship by the regime over the past decades of the war.
Planting of Baddha statues in predominantly hindu areas too has been going on.
Damage to buildings in war zones is unavoidable - as is seen in other conflict areas
of the world.
It is no use 'assigning' blame to any side.
Reference Comment 20- 'divine punishment' should be for ALL evil doers - can these be identified - how about Iraq, Afghanistan,Chechnya,Kashmir,Palestine & Zimbabwe ?
Will the god/gods of NATO & EU do the needful ?

No disrespect to any religion - but I place a higher value on one human life, be they a SLA soldier, a conscripted LTTE cadre or a civillian, than a statue of Mary or the Lord Buddha etc. etc.

Of course Velu is an exception. I would place a greater value on drying dog poo than the life of Prabakaran.

When LTTE is occupying and using the Madhu Church area for military purposes it is acceptable. No one was talking about it,even the Vatican.
Does the Sacred Madhu Matha belongs only to tamill catholics?Do the authorities will bring back the Madhu matha to the Church ,when GOSL forces capture the Church area and establish a peaceful situation in that area?
Madhu matha is not a private property of Bishop Ayappu or LTTE.
