Nobody is going to bring sanction against Sri Lanka government as long as LTTE renew their status as Terrorists by keeping bombs outside northeast without careing the innocent civilians getting killed. I know you are going to argue like the other LTTE supporters that the innocent civilians are getting killed by arial bombing too in Tamil areas, but that doesn’t taken seriously because bombing cannot be done so preciously.

Ajith Cabraal said defiantly and arrogantly that the war in the North could be won by the military, whereas any sensible person would admit that this war is unwinnable and ugly.

A person who cannot fathom the truth in the present war cannot be expected to fathom as to what would happen to the economy.

I take all his figures as a pile of nonsense to support Mahinda’s war, a war that has made the cost of living to rocket to 37 percent in March and the price of other commodities to rise.

The EU and the west should impose economic sanctions and travel ban to Sri Lanka to bring down the arrogance and defiance of the present regime.

It worked against Zimbabwe, it will also work against Sri Lanka.

“You see people can say anything that they want but I have shown the world as to what I am. I have been selected by the US Government to be an Eisenhower Fellow. My peers have elected me..you mentioned about accountancy..elected me to be the president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. The most prestigious body, by unanimous vote.” Amazing that the chairman of a company that engaged in an illegal activity should be given these honors. I will never ever employ, or recommend for employment, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants again. The crass cynicism of the US government has of course been evident for a long ti8me and will in all probability only increase.

I think he is right telling about our growth. For many years 80% of our foreign earning was on the export of tea. Now the tea has gone to 3rd place and very soon it can go to 4th place. Now 60% of the foreign earning is from garments and next comes foreign employment. Very soon ship building or or solid tyre industry can come to the 3rd place. Tigers used to say to the Tamil people that they are keeping the bombs in Colombo to damage the economy but it look like it has helped them to develop fast and much faster than the Pirabaharan’s (Kumbakarnan’s) Eelam war. I think Mr. Caabral is considering Northeast as another country that is why he didn’t include the statistic of Northeast.

There is nothing wrong in what Cabraal says. What he says does not change the fact that the Sri Lankan Tamil Community is slowly but surely being subjected to a systematic genocide. Very soon they will be limited to a few thousand who will be ruled by fellows like Anandasangaree and Douglas Devananda in tiny Tamil Reservations.

The Indian Brahmin community will then send the Ramakrishna Mission into these reservations to dole out charity to these few remaining Tamils. The Chinese will get their hands on the massive oil deposits just 200 kms off Galle and along the north western coast and the Brahmins in India will learn to eat Chinese food with Pork and Prawns while they attack and destroy the muslims in India. The Brits and the Yankees with all their talk about human rights will look like the bunch of monkeys that they are.

Sinhala buddhism will be embraced by the politicians of Tamilnadu where a strange linguistic salad topped with hybrid american culture is served up as Tamil. Let me congratulate you Mahinda my boy. You have proved that Andare Aththa Katha is the ideal Gnana Katha for the world today and that it has soundly beaten the Panchatantra, Hitopadesa and Arthasashtra. Lets have a shot of poll to these Indian Idiots and the Yankee Monkeys and the rest of them.

He is comparing the un-employment figures of Britain and Sri Lanka. What a joke!! A country where they do not even have statistics for abducted,murdered or dissappeared people!!(or they don’t want to have or care for obvious reasons)

People in the north and east have no where to complain about the harrassment by the Security forces and their extension the Paramilitary. Any body who brings these issues out are murdered in cold blood!! Will anybody believe that tthey will have the trust or the means to register at the unemployment office!! This applies for poor sinhalese people too!!

The common man knows that the “Government” is for the politicians and their kith and kin only and it is out of reach for the ordinary folks!!

Mr Cabraal is an agent of the GOSL. Mr. cabraal must be dreaming about growth while the country is suffering from huper inflation, unemployment, destruction and spends too much money on war to occupy illegally Eelam.

MOSL will never win against the WILL of the Tamils in Eelam and those who live all over the world. GOSL continues to commit war crimes and cannot continue as the intl community is now actively and closely monitoring the situation in Eelam and Colombo.

Today the GOSL forces killed an Catholic Priest and Human Rights Activist Karunaratnam and Vatican and the UN should send an independent team to investigate this and other crimes.

Well he has given low unemployment; only 15% of the population in Srilanka is below poverty level. My question is did he include the people living in North and East for his computation? If he includes them then the numbers are all wrong. In the N & E 80% of the population have lost their livelihood. Farming, Fishing, Construction industries and many other areas people have lost their jobs. People in North and East who where living a decent life, they had a good house to live and food to eat and educate their children has now lost everything and living on Aid Agencies dole. There are more that one million people in N&E have lost their homes and living in temporary shelters. Has the learned Governor of the Central Bank taken these all facts in to his computation before he came out with his statistics and arguments with the British Interviewer? The answer we all know very well. To me he sounds more or less like a politician rather than and Governor.

There is always a lag in boom or bust of the economy. The prosperity of the economy he is talking about is due to the period of Ceasefire 2002/05.

Wait for another year and see how the economy will perform due to resumption of war.
