Fonseka did not Sleep with the Tiger but with People who had Slept with the Tigers

Few days before the Presidential elections few foreign journalists who had come to cover the elections lamented that the opposition was working on an exit strategy.
They said it was sad for Sri Lanka and they could not imagine what the consequence would be for Sri Lanka . of course, the opposition needed to have an exit strategy since deep down they knew they would be defeated by Mahinda Rajapaksa though they did not imagine the margin would be so high. But, that was it.
Yes. There was an enthusiasm and interest about Fonseka when his candidature was announced. People wanted to listen to him and see him. Out of the uniform he cut a sorry figure. When he spoke it was all but venom and hatred. Private sector panicked when he held hands with his namesake Sarath Silva. So did lawyers. For instance even the UNP lawyers in Galle refused to attend the meeting with Sarath Silva. Fonseka lost many private sector votes thanks to Sarath Silva and also when the private sector heard that his treasury secretary would be Nihal Sri Amarasekara.
Private sector never trusted the JVP. Many business leaders said the JVP which had earlier insulted and ridiculed them came behind asking for their business cards. They never trusted the JVP. How could anyone trust the JVP. Let us remember what Dr Dayan Jayatileke said once “ JVP and the LTTE are two sides of the same coin"
There was more confusion. Ranil wanted to be the PM under Fonseka. JVP said “ No way. It will be Sarath Silva” We heard later that Mangala wanted to bring Chandrika as the PM. I am sure Chandrika coming in support of Fonseka made things even better for Mahinda. Today, Chandrika cannot even command 10 votes according to a Sinhala journalist. I am sure Mahinda gained more than 30, 000 votes both from the UNP and the SLFP thanks to CBK supporting Fonseka. Was Fonseka that desperate to get votes and take revenge from his former Commander in Chief ?
People saw again and again photos of Hakeem and Prabhakaran, Sampanthan and Prabhakaran, Ganesan and Prabhakran, Ranil and Westborg. Do you think it did good to Fonseka. He was not sleeping with the tiger but, with people who had slept with the Tigers and boasted of their pulli ( spots) People were no fools.
Fonseka was also full of confusion and contradictions. The euphoria in Colombo died down fast and he even failed to win the Colombo district. The man who boasted that he had never lost finally tasted defeat BIG time. He did not stop at that. He and his sorry men began to unravel their exit strategy to discredit Sri Lanka and the victory of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Mangala’s websites started working overtime discrediting the President, diluting his victory and creating doubts. Fonseka tired to gain world attention by moving into Cinnamon Lake . He gave interviews to the world press. He cut a sorry loser.But, he did not get the world attention he went after so desperately. His daughters have left to the US safely. His son in law wanted by the CID is in hospital. Fonseka moves freely planning his political ‘future’ as a defeated candidate. Mangala has gone overseas may be to the French rivers to do what he knows best , to sip red wine and smoke a cigar. Ranil is gearing up to contest the general elections having defeated Fonseka and regained the symbol from the JVP. Ganesan has already lost out to Yogarajan. Hakeem has Carnival ice cream on his face ( bitter ones) JVP is lost.
“ Victory is sweet. Defeat is bitter. Enjoy the bitter taste in the next 7 to 8 years or better yourself and become a useful politician, leader. Throw your hatred to the Beira lake”

True Fonseka did not use the politically correct terminology in his meetings. When a politician does not understand anything about a subject he uses the term 'pahediliva'- meaning clearly. When he is in doubt he uses the word 'vagakeemen kiyanava' - I say it with responsibility! It will take a long time for him to learn. He pissed off a lot of criminal elements no doubt!
Two weeks have passed since the election.
Yet, battle in cyberspace continues. This is unprecedented.
Who is this Ranmali Fernando, a fairytale writer or someone?
It is debatable what she says about Ranil, Mangala, Chandrika and JVP. But she is totally wrong to call R. Sampanthan (TNA), Mano Ganesan (DPF) and Rauf Hakeem (SLMC) losers in the recent presidential elections.
The entire Tamil speaking people voted for SF at the call of this trio. Open your eyes. I do not think they are losers. End of the day TNA, DPF and SLMC are not for presidency but for parliament. None of these minority leaders are hoping to become president or even prime minister of the country. They are for parliamentary victories. They will be strong blocks in the next parliament as according to the presidential results in North, East, Up Country and Colombo. Please do not write-bring personal animosity into public forums.

Fonseka lost Cbo District?? Mano Ganesan lost to Yogarajan??? What on tarnation is this? What is the writer smoking? For Mangala's known inclination the ideal destination is not Paris - young lady - but England - that ole home of The Man with the Green Carnation. Surely girl you've got your knickers knotted badly???

Any one can sense which camp the writer belong to!!! Is this piece to support the coming parliamentary election in favour of the Brothers Inc.? Why didn't speak about the vote rigging, thuggery, bribery,false promises etc. etc. by the ruling class?
Everyone knows who bribed to stop the Tamils from voting in the 2005 presidental election. Why was the election called in a hurry? again to deprive the chance of the Tamils from voting. Why didn't you mention that fair percentage of Tamils are without voting cards, deprived of transport. Any way most of them won't have even decent clothes to wear to go for voting. They have no desire to vote when their main concern is where the next meal is coming from. They must be still crying for their dead parents, siblings, children, neighbours and friends!!!!!
In short Mahinda has deprived the Tamils the right to vote this time also by killing, maiming, imprisoning and destroying their properties and livelihood without paying bribe.
He is a heartless DEMON and a thug. I hope the SRi Lankans will identify him in his true form!!!!
